ekvip supports the robotics talents of tomorrow as a sponsor
Automation is what drives us—and that drive doesn't stop at our company's doors. At ekvip, we firmly believe that technological progress begins with support for young talent. That's why we are very happy to support the HTWK Robots student robotics team at Leipzig University of Applied Sciences (HTWK Leipzig).
The HTWK Robots were founded in 2009 as a student project and are now a dedicated university group at HTWK Leipzig. Their goal: to play soccer with humanoid robots according to standardized rules.
Sounds exciting? It is. The team competes in the RoboCup Standard Platform League, an international robot soccer league in which all teams compete against each other with identical robots. The robots operate completely autonomously, meaning there is no external control, either by humans or computers. The standard platform currently in use is the humanoid NAO from Aldebaran.
On May 10, 2025, HTWK Robots presented their “players” at the Lange Nacht der Computerspiele (Long Night of Computer Games) at HTWK Leipzig. And the next big milestone is already just around the corner: In July, the team will travel to the RoboCup World Championship 2025 in Brazil. We at ekvip are proud to accompany the HTWK Robots on this journey – and wish them every success in the international competition!
We're keeping our fingers crossed and cheering you on!
